PBIS is a school-wide system that helps students become responsible for their own behavior and learning. PBIS is based on the thinking that children are capable of showing appropriate behavior. The ultimate purpose of PBIS is to create an environment where students are safe, happy, and able to learn to the best of their ability. This system is differentiated in nature and intensity. Every child is unique and receives attention based on their needs and strengths. The Moos PBIS system is based on three clear school-wide expectations:
